2. Album cover and what it shows.
The album cover Queen used here demonstrates the Aspirer category, with the use of close ups on their faces and the lights coming underneath which gives off an almost religious felling. This very strongly shows the core need for the Aspirer which is the need for status. This album cover however could also show some of the aspects of the Succeeder because it shows of a massive amount of self confidence, and could show the core need for control in a very slight way. Due to the religious that that it shows they almost look like deities which have control over people.
The Aspirer and Succeeder types are
also demonstrated with the use of a low
camera angle shot that shows Queen
looking down on us which supports the
need for control and status.

shows this kind of
behavior is straight away in
the beginning of the music
video where their title and
logo comes out.

The Mainstream though the way they use a
Varity of costumes and clothing such as
Freddie Mercury having a leather jacket
John Deacon in a smart casual wear and
Roger Taylor in a green suit. This allows
Many different people to conform and
follow the band because they have
something for everyone. Showing and
Securing the need for security, which is the
Core need for the mainstream audience.

5. The music video as whole does
show the Aspirer with the fact that instead
of the normal music that tells a story they
went for a more basic live performance
showing off what they could really do while
playing and singing and keeping the
attention on these core aspects which is
evident in the Aspirer’s core need for status.
This also supports some of the aspects of
the usual music videos that come out of
rock bands which will mainly be built up
on their own performances showing of how
good they are which can also be seen with
the Beatles who are another popular British
band.

6. The Fans.
Judging by Queens age the primary audience would mainly be built up from year Old's who were into them when they were younger. Mainly built up of average people, who would usually be wearing smart casual clothing. Many of
the fans would be hardcore fans who love them for the exhilarating music they play and lyrics that would stick with you, and mainly a male targeted audience.
I also believe that many of the people who listen to this will most likely be into other rock type bands or metal types.
Many of the people who listen to them would ever be built up off the explore or Survivor category due to the band being very outgoing and different to most of the others that were out during their time and many that are still out today.

7. Question results
Our first question was a multi chose one that asked which statements best suited them to identify which of the 4c’s they were.
As we can see the majority of people are mainly Explorers or Aspirers which I have already shown in my assumptions of the fans, because these are core ideals that the band show.

8. What do you like about Queen
For my assumptions in this area I showed that most of the people would listen to Queen to
Because of the adventurous music and exciting music, however most of the people mainly liked it
due to Freddie Mercury’s amazing voice and Bryan May’s guitar playing. Though there was one
person who liked it due to it “variations in the musical style” which slightly supports my
assumptions however I would need more replies.
Unfortunately this survey did also bring in some false and unneeded comments.

9. What other genres are you in to ?
In my assumption of the fan base for Queen I stated that most of the fans would be into other types of Rock bands such as the Beatles.
Many of the people who listened to Queen are generally into other rock genres, which is supporting my assumptions however no one was into the heavy metal category.

10. What is your Gender
In my assumptions of the fan I stated that most of the audience would be males due to Queen being a more masculine band what with its male dominate band members and the stereotype of the rock bands having male audiences. And in the results of my survey this was supported.

11. How old are you?
In my assumptions I believed that many of the people who listen to queen would be built up off the older generation however what I received was that a younger. This could be due to an older audience not using the internet as much as the younger generation. However this does show a more mainstream kind of behavior. Many of the younger audience probably listened to them a due to their parents giving them the security and trust they would want.

12. Who is your favorite band
Many of the people who answered my survey were people who had Queen as their favorite band which helps support all the pervious questions. However there is also the use of the explore what with the varied tastes from progressive rock to punk rock bands and heavy metal bands such as the red hot chili peppers and Kassabian.
Also I would have expected people to also like bands such as the battles because they are relatively similar type of band to queen however no one chose this going against the reformer image.

13. How do you feel about the bands image and what they show.
People who answered this question mainly show of the opinions of the reformer and explorer and go strongly against the opinions of the aspire. This is mainly said with things such as “ they show you can dress however you want” and “they were unique from the very start” and this is surprising because Queen has a lot of areas that show off the Aspirer

14. What clothes do you wear?
Many of Queens audience wear clothing such as tops and jeans or informal wear which is not surprising, in my assumption's I stated that many of them would be average people. This is demonstrating the mainstream core aspect of wanting security.

15. How do you feel about common misconceptions about Queen/other bands?
Many of the people here demonstrated the aspects of the reformer showing how they don’t care about other peoples opinion on the music that has never changed and they love such as “as long as it doesn't’t effect the music. People can think what they want.’ You could also say that it shows the struggler trying to get away from other people who judge and simply listen to their music.

16. Overall finds
Overall most of Queens fans do follow my general assumptions of being explorers and aspirers, however many people also appeared to be Reformers near the end and their was the slight appearance of the struggler. Also many of the people were male and had Queen as their favorite band, and many of them were also into other rock bands and heavy metal bands.
