New GISC solution fully compliant to WIS
Formal tender launched in December 2013. (Tendering process is on going) Acquirement and implementation in 2014, Redundancy for high availability, Sufficient internal memory allowing a minimum cache of 24hrs otherwise the 200TB robotic data storage of the DMN super calculator can be used.

Telecommunication RMDCN connection (new generation with 2Mbps)
Redundant high speed internet connection First High Speed Internet connection (FO): 4Mbps with the telecom operator: Maroc Telecom upgrade in 2014 to reach a flow rate of 8Mbps Redundant High Speed Internet connection (FO): 4Mbps with the telecom operator: INWI Additional ADSL internet Access: 20 Mbps RMDCN connection (new generation with 2Mbps) The traditional and telegraphic connection with RTH Algiers was replaced by an Internet VPN connection. The test was also successfully made in January 2014.

GISC workshops and training activities
The NMS of Morocco hold the RA I Sub-Regional Workshop for WIGOS and WIS for North Africa (November 2013), Training session concerning TDCF migration for Libyan Meteorological Service is planned for 2014.

Summary: NMS of Morocco launched an official tender and to acquire WIS compliant solution to implement the GISC of Casablanca, GISC Casablanca achieved the migration to RMDCN-NG in Jan 2014 and had increased the rate to reach 2Mbps, GISC of Casablanca have sufficient high speed internet connections that could be used internationally, GISC of Casablanca have replaced successfully , in January 2014, the traditional telegraphic connection (9600 bauds) with RTH Algiers by an Internet VPN connection, GISC of Casablanca hold the RA I Sub-Regional Workshop for WIGOS and WIS for North African and west African countries (November 2013) Training session concerning TDCF migration for Libyan Meteorological Service is planned for 2014.
