What is HUB Game Crawl?
HUB Crawl is an event as a part of Dawg Daze. A weeklong initiation program for incoming freshmen and transfers at the University of Washington
HUB Crawl is a large scale event put on by the Husky Union Building (HUB) containing activities throughout the whole building
4000+ students come through the HUB for HUB Crawl and approximately 800 students walk through our portion HUB Game Crawl. For most clubs this is the largest event of the year.
This event is prioritized on showcasing gaming culture at UW and developing strong communities within that culture
We want all attendees (not necessarily gamers) to feel welcome to drop in, play, and learn about our clubs
PC’s, consoles, board games, card games, giveaways and much more are provided

5. What is WGA?
WGA (Washington Gaming Association) is a network of gaming organizations at the University of Washington for the purpose of sharing information, resources, and events
Founded in Winter 2016
All organizations participating in HUB Game Crawl have been affiliated with WGA
Traditionally HUB Game Crawl has been put on by Husky Gamer Nation w/ guests. This year has similar lead organizers but is a WGA event

6. Activities
All clubs will receive space to have activities and an opportunity to advertise for their club
All activities are catered to players of all skill level and focused on introducing new students to gaming at UW

League of Legends Photo booth (Purple Caster Minions)
Steam Game Playoff on the main screen w/ giveaways (HGN)
Hearthstone King of the Hill mode w/giveaways (WGA Hearthstone)
Board Game Boot camp with Board Games at UW
Smash Melee Corner
Console Alley (8 different consoles)
PC Open Play

7. Club Exposure
This event is a great tool for recruiting new students into their respective club. All organizations get table space and screen time to promote their club
We encourage clubs to have follow up information on when and where their first events are and how they can get involved
We also encourage clubs to deck out their space with lots of swag, promo material, and things that show off what you do
This year the WGA will provide 1 collective sign up and distribute them based off their club interest

8. Sponsorship
We are looking for support for this event. Further, we are looking to establish a relationship for future events for WGA and Husky Gamer Nation
Because this is a UW sanctioned event we want to be conscious of over-branding in this particular University space
This is not something we typically deal with for other events
We are looking for experience based or monetary support for this event specifically
Our priorities include but are not limited to
Professionally installed Ethernet in the ballroom
Club and WGA branding
Streaming hardware
Cool experiences
Virtual Reality equipment
Meet and Greet with Pro Players
Prize support and giveaways
PC peripherals (mice, headsets, keyboards)
Emerging game titles
