HWTS workshop: Key discussion points
National working groups on HWTS are useful for catalysing action Resource mobilization for implementation of strategies is weak Tangible approaches for Public-Private Partnerships (PPPs) are needed A number of issues were discussed, but we’ve highlighted just a few: Working groups on HWTS were highlighted as being as a useful platform through which national stakeholders could meet and strategize as they developed policies on HWTS. Policies / strategies on HWTS exist, but there are challenges in: resource mobilization coordination particularly at sub-national level Workshop report is available online PPPs are mentioned in strategies, but no tangible efforts are in place; e.g. beyond inviting private sector to meetings, there are limited efforts to engage / work together.
