Start with “Dear Diary,” Start writing! Write about how you feel and why you feel that way Start with the morning. Describe how it went and do not leave out any detail Move on to the afternoon, then the evening and finally the night. Always say good night in the end and promise to tell more later. Close with your name. You can also add your signature. If you want to, end your entry with "Bye" or "Good night."

I overslept and was late getting to school. I eat a big breakfast every morning. The weather was nice; the air was clean and fresh. I went to school by bus.

8 In the afternoon The sun was shining and it was really hot.
I had lunch at the cafeteria. I had jangjorim deopbap for lunch. I had two classes. I went to my writing class. I saw my friends.

9 In the evening The sunset was beautiful. I got home by 7pm.
I did my homework. I watched some TV. I fixed dinner. I ordered in.

10 Wrapping up Today was a great day. What an exciting day!
I hope tomorrow is even better. I felt blue all day. It was a long day.

11 Simple Example Sunday October 2nd, 2011 Dear Diary, Today was Sunday.
I made plans to go out with my friends. I left my apartment and went to Tongmak in Hayang. While my friends and I were eating and drinking, we ran into some other friends and decided to hang out together. We ordered a lot of anju and drank too much makkeolli. I need to get to sleep because I have class tomorrow morning. I will write again soon… Good night! Sincerely, Mr. Makkeoli Drinker

12 Intermediate Example Sunday October 2nd, 2011 Dear Diary,
I went downtown this morning to meet my boyfriend today. We had lots of fun shopping, eating and watching a movie. Later, however, we ran into my boyfriend’s ex-girlfriend. When I saw her, I shouted, “He’s my boyfriend now!” After that, my boyfriend got upset at me and we had a big fight. At the end of our argument, he dumped me! I hope we get back together tomorrow… What a miserable day! I will write again tomorrow! Miss I made a big mistake!
