1. LNG Production - Point Fortin, Trinidad
Model IR2100 Point IR gas detectors are mounted in locations throughout the plant’s compressor building and process areas. IR5000 open path IR detectors, FL3000 UV/IR and FL3002 enhanced flame detectors are installed in both the compressor building and cooling fan applications. Gas or flame events result in alarms at both the local panel and the main control room. All executive actions are initiated by the plant’s DCS.
This fire and gas detection system is fully isolated from other panel systems, except for interfacing with the process DCS, UPS, ESD system and plant PA/GA system. With redundant fiber optic links, the system monitors standalone fire and gas systems in four other plant locations. The local fire and gas panels detect, or monitor for combustible gas leaks, pump seal failure, fires, tank rupture and more.
