Overview Systems Software Developers are the masterminds behind computer programs. Systems software developers develop the foundation systems used to run devices, applications, and also develop systems that control networks. Deeper into this presentation, we will discuss aspects such as job description, working conditions, earnings, required education, etc.

Job Description Systems software developers also create maintaining systems that keeps the computers functioning properly. These could be operating systems for computers that the general public buys or systems built specifically for an organization. Systems software developers are creating the operating systems that control most of the consumer electronics in use today, including the systems in phones and/or cars.

Working Conditions/Environments
Many software developers work for firms that deal in computer systems design and related services firms or for software publishers. Some systems developers work in computer — and electronic product — manufacturing industries. Applications developers work in office environments, such as offices of insurance carriers or corporate headquarters. In general, software development is a team-working process, and developers work on teams with others who also contribute to designing, developing, and programming successful software. However, some developers telecommute (meaning working away from the office).

Education Requirements
Systems software developers usually have and need a bachelor’s degree, typically in computer science, software engineering, or a common, related field. Although writing code is not their first priority, developers must have a strong government in computer programming.

Career Pathways While in high school, I need to pursue in Programming career pathway. Which will give me the basic knowledge of programming and coding software. The different promotional levels for system software developer are: SDE I SDE II SDE III Principal (Principal’s are like advanced SDE III’s) *Most promotional levels are based on the firm you are working for.*

Graduate high school and earn my Diploma Study at Georgia Tech Get a internship at Intel or TripAdvisor Receive my Bachelor’s degree Work at Dell or Microsoft for 4 or 5 years Then go back to Georgia Tech to study for my Master’s degree Work at Apple, Dell, or Cisco
