Volunteering Teaching English in a local school
The school provides free English lessons to children from low-income families in the Takeo province. Children’s ages range from 3 to 18 years and classes of 5 to 30 children Also have the opportunity to teach Computer Studies, Maths, as well as creative activities such as Art, Dance and Sports. Teaching will on average be 4 hours a day, coming up with fun and interactive lesson plans

Plan My Gap Year The PMGY Foundation is a UK registered charity ( ) that has been set up to help provide financial aid and assistance to the projects and countries we work with on an ongoing basis. – One of our charities we are supporting this year The objective of the PMGY Foundation is the prevention or relief of poverty of people living in the communities we support by providing or assisting in the provision of education, training, healthcare projects and all the necessary support designed to enable individuals to generate a sustainable income and be self-sufficient. The ultimate aim of the PMGY Foundation is to enable donations to be directed towards specific hand-picked projects in countries most in need. The project donations are determined by the charities trustees during our annual overseas visits.

Where? Takeo, Cambodia 90 minutes from Cambodian capital Phnom Penh
6 hour bus to Siem Reap (weekend trip)

When? Monday 18th June for 2 weeks (can stay longer independently)
Exam period ends 15th June

Costs? £240 programme fee + £149 registration = £389
Flights- based on current prices £440 return (phnom penh) can arrange independently or via PMGY Extras :very cheap living expenses in Cambodia Hostels up to £5 maximum per night Meal in a restaurant £2.35 Bottle of water 30p Domestic beer 75p

Confirming your place You need to pay the Registration Fee (£149)
KAOS membership is £3 The remaining Programme Fee is then due no less than 60 days prior to your programme start date (middle of April deadline) Can be paid in instalments or a lump sum Registration fee to be paid by December 23rd
