Student counsellor training
Training bases on Vocational teacher training or Master degree, and working as a teacher one year (minimum) Polytechnics / Vocational teacher education colleges Jyväskylä or Hämeenlinna 60 ects studies or - Master of Arts (Education) including studies in Education or educational social sciences and pedagogic studies, practical studies in counselling and secondary subjects (totally 300 ects) Universities of Jyväskylä, Joensuu, Vaasa (Åbo Academi) also possible Master of Arts (Education) + 60 ects counselling studies (Jyväskylä, Joensuu, Vaasa)

based on national, regional and/or local needs (national current key areas for development, national guidelines, needs of provider, school, unit, teacher, …) subjects: alterations (curriculum, employment, population, …) new methods (group adviser training, group counselling, on-line counselling, …) educational and occupational plans new tools (the on-line joint application system, …) ICT and integrate ICT and internet within guidance service follow-up systems in order to prevent dropping out …
