Seed Grant Funding Available from U.S. Consulate General, Mumbai
Eligibility: Non-profit, non-governmental organizations based in India (may team with for-profit firm, must have valid FCRA) Important dates: Letter of intent due to OSU: May 18, 2017 Full proposal due to OSU: July 1, 2017 Awards announced: August 15, 2017 Funding amount: Up to 5 grants of up to Rs 500,000 each Matching funds: Highly encouraged Project end: Must be completed by Aug. 2018

Proposal Review Criteria
Concept and Rationale Potential to advance waste management in India. Technical Promise Likelihood of meeting or exceeding the stated project objectives. Expected Impacts Potential benefits; likelihood of additional funding for scale-up. Team Qualifications Capacity of the proposed team to perform effectively. External collaboration Engagement of partners; matching resources (if applicable).

Seed Grant Administration
Proposals will be evaluated, awarded, and monitored on behalf of the U.S. Consulate General, Mumbai by The Ohio State University Grantees will be required to submit quarterly progress reports and a final fiscal and technical report to OSU for their project. Ohio State’s office in Mumbai will provide points of contact to provide guidance or advice during project performance. Request for Proposals with full instructions is available online:
