2. Subject - Refugee handling
There in an increasing issue across Europe and other parts of the globe with innocent civilians in countries stricken with warfare looking for salvation in safer countries like the UK. Recently the UK government denied Syrian refugees entry to the country which has sparked debates about who should have priority to the resources of a welfare state and who should or shouldn’t be allowed into a country.

3. Format
The format will be a reflective documentary but also an expository to an extent exposing how the nation and its government treated refugees of war and how they treat them today. Hopefully exploring how some attitudes have changed and some have stayed the same.

4. Genre
The Genre for this documentary is quite blurry because it includes stories told from the past and asking questions about the situations in the present. The Genre that fits best is reality Genre, meaning all stories and facts told are real and apply to real life situations and/or historical events.

5. Style
This documentary will be interview based so a story will be told by our surviving refugee willing to tell her story. This interview will be woven with inserts with more detailed stories with factual commentary.

6. Audience
The audience for this documentary is not exclusive however children under the age of may not understand some of the stories or may not be up to date with the current oversea affairs regarding wars and their refugees. Besides children, anyone with a decent knowledge or interest in World War 2 stories will be within the target audience, however I will try to give clear explanations for those without much understanding of what world war 2 was like for people in other parts of Europe.

7. Intended aim
The real aim is to get the audience thinking about how refugees feel when fleeing their country, how they should not be treated as “intruders” but should instead be welcomed with an offer of salvation. Since the UK government has recently rejected syrian refugees I thought this topic would stir some emotion and hopefully change peoples views on refugees.
