3. Misson
The mission of the Intelligent Large Scale Sensing Systems initiative (ILS3) is to create and maintain a collaborative, multidisciplinary research and development laboratory, shared by multiple faculty, enabling the department to establish a tradition of excellence in the field of distributed task-specific sensing, sensor fusion and sensor network technology and applications. ILS3 will allow the Department and the University to contribute to the solution of important regional and national problems.
