If you heat up metals and make them liquid you can mix them together.
Brass and Steel are examples.

5. Heat treatment Annealing Heat up and keep heated for a little while.
Cool down slowly.
Makes metal ductile (bendable).
Used to make wires.

6. Heat treatment Quenching Heat up fast Cool off fast
Anneal, then quench
Thins out the metal and makes it sharp and brittle
Razor blades and Scissors are made this way

7. Heat treatment Tempered Strongest treatment
Heat fast, cool fast, heat slow, cool slow
Anneal, quench then temper
Used to make steel
