1. National School Lunch Act
Created in 1946 President Truman signed the bill It is a program to provide a low-cost or free school lunch meals I think it is a good law because not all kids can afford a school lunch everyday. I don’t think I would change it.

3. National School Lunch Program
In 1998, Congress expanded the National School Lunch Program to include reimbursement for snacks served to children in after school educational and enrichment programs to include children through 18 years of age. They must offer free or reduced price to eligible children It is a good law because now you can get snacks for almost free. So, you don’t only get lunches for free.

4. The Nutrition Standards and Meal Requirements
To receive federal reimbursement for the meal, SFAs must first offer a meal that meets the as offered and reimbursable meal standard for the menu planning option that the school has chosen to follow. Next, the student must select the items that are consistent with the as served reimbursable meal standard. On the basis of prescribed record-keeping requirements, SFAs may claim federal reimbursement for the meal. However, the level of reimbursement depends on the meal. They shouldn’t get reimbursed for feeding kids.

5. Food Safety SUMMARY: This final rule adopts without
change the food safety inspections requirements for the National School Lunch Program (NSLP) and the School Breakfast Program (SBP) set forth in a previous interim rule issued by the Food and Nutrition Service as a result of the Child Nutrition and WIC Reauthorization Act of Schools participating in the lunch and breakfast programs must obtain two inspections per year, post the most recent inspection report in a visible location, and release a copy of the report to members of the public upon request. This rule enhances the safety of over 38 million meals served to school children daily. DATES: This final rule is effective October 2, 2009.

Fact 1 One-third of a child's eating habits can be influenced by what she eats at school This fact is important because if your child eats bad at school then they will probably go home and eat something bad too.
9
Fact 2 The National School Lunch Program feeds more than 31 million children every school day.18 million of those children qualify for free or reduced-price lunch That is good because that is a lot of kids that are eating lunch everyday.
10
Fact 3 The annual mean wage of those serving school cafeteria food is $21,450 a year. They make a lot of money just for putting stuff in a microwave.
11
Fact 4 45 students and a teacher in a St. Louis school all fell ill with food poisoning That is a bunch of people to get food poisoning in one school. They should get better cafeteria workers.
12
Fact 5 British Columbia, Canada began offering fresh, organic, and whole grain options alongside the usual fare. Even when charging between $2.50 and $4, teachers and students alike flocked towards the soups, salads, and baked goods – voicing their appreciation at the school’s efforts to broaden their offerings and cater to those concerned about ingesting too many unpleasantries Kids can be healthy!!!

School Lunch Law Advisor Interview
I would want to interview the person that makes up the meals because they are pretty disgusting in public schools. Q1:Why do you make such gross school lunches? Q2:Do you get garbage and mold it into the shape of food? Q3:Have you ever tried a school lunch?
14
Q4:Would your kids want to eat the school lunches?
Q5:Did somebody help you with creating gross school meals? Q6:Were the school lunches better when you were a kid? Q7:If so, what were they like? Q8:Do you have kids that eat the school lunches? Q9:If so, what do they think of them? Q10:Would you eat the school lunches everyday?
