1 Week 21

2 Bell 1&2 Rudy has 46 coins, all dimes and quarters. The total value of all these coins is $6.70. How many dimes does he have? A school chorus has 68 members. There are 16 more boys than girls. How many boys are in the chorus?

3 Bell 1 & 2 The school chorus had a bake sale. Cookies were $2.00 and brownies were $3.00. They sold a total of 450 baked goods. The total collected was $1200 dollars. How many of each did they sell? Set-up the system and solve. The talent show committee sold a total of 530 tickets in advance. Student tickets cost $3 each and the adult tickets cost $4 each. If the total receipts were $1740, how many of each type of ticket were sold? Make sure that your homework is complete.

4 Bell 1&2 Solve the following 4x + 6 + 3 = 17 −10p + 9 p = 12
8 = 8v − 4(v + 8) . A movie theater charges $5 for an adult’s ticket and $2 for a child’s ticket. One Saturday, the theater sold 785 tickets for $3280. How many of each type of ticket were sold?

5 Bell 1 and 2 Put the following in slope intercept form 3x-4y=12
Tell me the slope and y intercept of each

6 Bell 1 and 2 Make sure that your name is at the top of your warm-up
Write down 4-5 things that you learned in math this week. Be specfic! Turn in your warm-up to the turn in tray. Have your diagram on your desk (page 18 of NB)

7 Bell 3 The cost of 5 squash and 2 zucchini is $1.32. Three squash and 1 zucchini cost $0.75. Find the cost of each vegetable. The talent show committee sold a total of 530 tickets in advance. Student tickets cost $3 each and the adult tickets cost $4 each. If the total receipts were $1740, how many of each type of ticket were sold?

8 Bell 3 Solve the following 4x + 6 + 3 = 17 −10p + 9 p = 12
8 = 8v − 4(v + 8) . A movie theater charges $5 for an adult’s ticket and $2 for a child’s ticket. One Saturday, the theater sold 785 tickets for $3280. How many of each type of ticket were sold?

9 Bell 3 Put the following in slope intercept form 3x-4y=12 2x-5y=25
Tell me the slope and y intercept of each

10 Bell 3 Make sure that your name is at the top of your warm-up
Write down 4-5 things that you learned in math this week. Be specfic! Turn in your warm-up to the turn in tray.

11 Bell 4 Come in and be seated quietly.
For your warm-up today I want you to write a paragraph about your behavior in this class.

12 Bell 4 Make sure that your homework is complete.
The school chorus had a bake sale. Cookies were $2.00 and brownies were $3.00. They sold a total of 450 baked goods. The total collected was $1200 dollars. How many of each did they sell? Set-up the system and solve. What is the vertical line test? How do we know if something is a function? Make sure that your homework is complete.

13 Bell 4 Solve the following 4x + 6 + 3 = 17 −10p + 9 p = 12
