Network Management Checking Performance + Traffic & Configuration

Monitoring the network.
IT professionals will need to monitor the network to see how much traffic is going through the network also to monitor the performance of the network. There are many different types of software to monitor the performance and traffic in the network including Microsoft’s Network Monitor. These provide current and historic bandwidth of the network.

Network Managers Checking performance and traffic within a network allow the managers of it too: Understand normal performance Measure the effects of new devices/hardware in the network Recognise when performance is reduced Recognise when devices are giving problems Recognise whether performance reduces at certain times of the day, why it does & how to fix the problem.
4
Task manager Task manager is an easy way to find out how well the computer is running telling you how much of the CPU is being used and also how much RAM is being used. Here you can see task manager a very basic way of seeing the performance your computer is running at.
5
Configuration Network Configuration describes a broad range of activities associated with establishing and maintaining a data network. Network Configuration encompasses issues relating to enabling protocols from a software perspective, and issues relating to routers, switches and firewalls from a hardware perspective. Network configuration is also tweaked regularly to improve performance.
6
Network devices and Configuration
Network devices ,such as switches and routers, normally are in need of configuration so they could be able to work and communicate together. Most of the user accounts need to be configured normally to let them have access to the available recourses that they need such as printers. To use the correct templates and anything else you need to configure the application software's.

Network Configuration
There are a number of different types of networks, with each one requiring some type of organization or network configuration in order to function properly. For example, a local network within a small office will include telephone equipment to allow voice communications, cable feeds to provide Internet connectivity for voice, visual, and data exchanges, and at least one server to help coordinate and process all the functions associated with the network. Along with the server, desktop computers, various types of wireless devices, and backup equipment such as a secondary server are also common components on this basic network configuration.
