For ease of understanding please have your Total Compensation Statement in front of you when reviewing this presentation. All charts referenced in this presentation refer to the Total Compensation page of your statement. The illustrations used are examples only.

My Total Compensation “My Total Compensation” breaks out the percentage that your Earnings, Paid Time Off and Champlain’s contribution to your Benefits as part of your 2016 Total Compensation. Earnings (minus paid time off) Includes all your earnings, under the “My Earnings” section, minus the total in “My Paid Time Off” section. Paid Time Off Includes paid time off for Holidays, Vacation, Sick and Personal Time. (This is not what you used but what was available to you for 2016.) Champlain College’s Contribution to Benefits Includes the College’s cost of benefits. This cost is displayed under the “My Benefit’s” section, Champlain’s Contribution. Graphic Layout 2

Contributions to Benefits
“Contributions to Benefits” is an individual picture of your benefit cost. This includes the College contribution and your contribution as a percentage of the total cost of benefits. Both of these amounts can be found in the “My Benefits” section. Champlain College’s Benefit Contribution Represent the percentage the College contributes to the total cost for your benefits. My Benefits Contributions Represent the percentage you contribute to the total cost of your benefits. Graphic Layout 2

Paid Time Off Your paid time off is reflective of the total time you would be eligible to receive in If you were hired mid-year this total reflects the amount of time you would have been eligible for if you had been employed for the full calendar year. The value displayed is based upon your rate of pay in December 2016, not the actual amount you were paid throughout the year. The actual amount you were paid for your time off is included in the box “Your Earnings” at the top of the page. Graphic Layout 2

Total Percentage of Benefits and Paid Time Off
My Benefits $19,029 This percentage gives you a true picture of the total value of the benefits provided to you by Champlain College as part of your total compensation. To calculate the percentage: add the College’s contribution to your benefits plus, your Paid time off and then, divide the total into the 2016 Total Compensation. OTHER NOTES Under the Total Compensation page and “My Benefits” section, you may have some of the following questions regarding what is included in amounts represented: Tuition - This includes all costs incurred either by: Imputed value for classes taken at Champlain College; or Reimbursement of courses taken at other institutions; or The tuition rate for a Tuition Exchange student. Edge & Body Resolution Membership – If you belong to the Edge and/or Body Resolution, the amount you have paid through payroll deduction will be reflected under your benefit contributions. The College Contribution reflects the amount the College pays to ensure everyone has access to the Edge and Body Resolution membership as well as access to the IDX facility programs. While you may not take advantage of this benefit you are eligible to utilize this benefit.
