For the First 50 years there was political conflicts, corrupt officials, unpaid taxes etc… but at the same time colonists were building a new colony

North Carolina was established on November 21, 1789.

4 Why was your colony established
It was Established and named in honor of Charles IX of France and then King Charles I and King Charles II of England.

It was founded by the Virginia colonists in 1653 and the owner was Charles the IX of France and Then Charles the I and The II of England

North Carolina cut down pine trees to produce naval stores, such as tar and turpentine.
