3. Recommendations for Swanenburg Property
Option 1:
Wait for needs & usage analysis as a result of the Open Space & Trails Committee & Township work
Option 2:
Work on a phase-one approach to the property for nearer term use
As a reminder, the Swanenburg Property is approximately 16.1 acres of undeveloped land owned by the township. It butts up to the Chester Valley Trail.
The Parks & Rec board met on 3/28/17 during our regular monthly meeting. As option 1 could take some time, we are recommending Option 2 as a phase-one approach to begin developing the Swanenburg property to make available for public use.

4. Requesting Approval to Go to Site Plan Development for Phase-One Approach
Stone driveway with minimum of 10 parking spots
Split rail fencing to set off the parking area
Paved (graded & level) path to connect to Chester Valley Trail
Mowed walking path around the perimeter of the property.
1-2 trash cans

Option 2:
Work on a phase 1 approach to the property for nearer term use
The Parks & Rec board is asking for the Supervisors’ approval to move ahead in securing a site plan proposal/estimate from ARRO for the following phase-one elements at the Swanenburg property.
