There are 3 general areas/ concentrations we offer within our program: Community Recreation Management & Youth Development: This area is for students interested in working with local P&R agencies would allow you to continue working with youth; Students are prepared to manage nonprofit rec-related organizations e.g. YMCAs, Boy/Girl Scouts, community recreation centers, church youth groups, camps, etc. Also includes MWR, Campus Rec, Employee Rec & Corrections Rec

The focus is on preparing students to manage these types of agencies Another area within this concentration is special event management, teaches students how to plan special events.

Natural Resources & Outdoor Recreation/Park Management: This concentration is for students who like the outdoors. We prepare our students to manage state & national parks; manage adventure & outdoor recreation programs We also teach our students how to maintain a balance between the wants of visitors with need to manage & protect our natural resources.
