2 POTTERY IS One of the oldest CRAFTs
POTTERY IS One of the oldest CRAFTs. It’s HANDCRAFTed AND CONSISTS IN PRODUCING EVERYDAY OBJECTS AND DISHES. A Person who does it is called A Potter.

3 HOW TO MAKE A CERAMIC DISH?
THE Material THAT POTTERS need to HAVE TO MAKE A dish is called clay. IN the beginning THEY knead A piece of clay with water on A potter’s bench. THEN THEY put THE clay on A potter's wheel. AFTER THAT THEY MUST TURN THE WHEEL ALL THE TIME AND FORM THE CLAY FOR A SHAPE THEY WANT.

4 How TO MAKE A ceramic dish?
When POTTERS finish THE WORK THEY must dry A dish. Then THEY bake it in A potter’s furnace for a lot of time. IN the end THEY decorate THEIR dish.

5 Why IS pottery A DISAPPEARING job?
Kitchen dishes ARE USUALLY made of rustless metals. TheY are harder and more praCTICal than dishes made of clay. Also, traditional clay plant pots and jugs are replaced by those made of plastic or glass. TheY are PRODUCED industrially. MAKING CLAY’S PRODUCT TAKES A LOT OF TIME AND REQUIRES BIG SKILLS.

6 Pottery today now pottery is only A hobby, not A job. PEOPLE can still buy ceramic dishES, but more for decoration RATHER than use.
