Regulatory Updates & Safety Alerts
The purpose of my presentation today is to provide you with a brief overview of updates to relevant regulation changes and to share the most recent safety alerts that may affect your operations. Each of you should have the 13 page handout that covers all the information I’m about to discuss and then some. I want to keep this brief, so I only plan to cover the most relevant topics and those that have not already been covered. When you get a chance after today, please review the entire handout and I’d be happy to hear any feedback or answer any questions you may have. Hope your handout will be a valuable resource for you throughout the year. LT Tim McNamara Supervisor, Marine Safety Detachment Belfast

Before I get into some of the safety alerts and regulation or policy changes, I wanted to show you where to find the information that’s in your handout. If you look at the top of the second page, you’ll see 4 links to those websites. The next 4 slides will show you what to expect when you go online and check them out.
