We are learning letter P, p this week.
P says /p/ Policeman in the park, p,p,p.
The kids are super excited about our story this week, Officer Buckle and Gloria. We are expanding our knowledge of safety helpers in our community and writing thank you notes to our local police officers for The Great Kindness Challenge. Be careful not to add the “u” sound to /p/. Thanks
Remember to read homework each night
Math
We are exploring our mental addition and connecting quantities to numerals.
I will also introduce IXL in the classroom this week.
Writing:
We will write thankyous and happy notes this week.
Science/Social Studies:
We are exploring animals in winter and the tracks that animals make. If your family has any items to enhance our learning please feel free to send them with your student along with any special instructions. 

Last week was a crazy week with our holiday and snow day. We missed out on a bit our N, n practice. If your student brings home extra homework with N, n as the focus you may use it as you see fit.
