3. Sixth Grade
Jacob is a 6th grade boy who comes to class with reading difficulties. He lacks motivation to read and write and for anything related to traditional school. He is ADD. His organizational skills are lacking. Although he has resources at his disposal, he doesn’t want to use them for fear of looking different.
He does enjoy building and constructing. He is currently working with his dad to restore a 1970’s corvette.

Jacob comes to class 5 days a week for 55 minutes a day for social studies class.

TCI Ancient World online text book and materials,
Discovery magazines
videos and movies related to the curriculum,
ipads, laptops, Google Classroom
Resources are aligned to standards.
Online TCI can be challenging for the students. The reading level is high.
