3 What classes do I need to graduate?
4 English 3 Math: Must include Algebra 1 and Geometry & 1 additional math credit, + enroll in math each year in high school 3 Science: Must include Biology 3 Social Studies: U.S History, LSN Gov’t, World History 1 Fine Art 1 Technology Education – Foundations of Technology ½ Physical Education: Personal Fitness ½ Health Issues Completer Program: 2 World Languages 2 Advanced Technology State Approved Career & Technology Program 2 Electives PARCC – Algebra 1, English 10 HSA – Government 24 Student Service Hours Enrollment in high school for four years after grade 8 Class of 2020!

5 Promotion Requirements Grade 10 to Grade 11
2 English credits 1 Math credits 1 Science credit 1 Social Studies credit Class of 2020!

6 Class of 2020! Dual Enrollment Must be high school juniors or seniors
Requires a 2.5 GPA or higher Obtain passing scores on sections of the Accuplacer, ACT, or SAT exams Eligible Sophomores take Accuplacer exam in February Class of 2020!

7 Class of 2020! Dual Enrollment
Dual Enrollment course grades are included in the student’s high school and college transcripts All Dual Enrollment course grades will impact your high school & college GPA Depending on the number of courses you take and pass, you can earn at least 3 college credits before you graduate! Class of 2020!

8 University System of Maryland Admission Requirements
4 English credits 3 Science credits – Biology, Chemistry, 1 lab science + science credit if a STEM major 3 Social Studies credits 4 Math credits – including Algebra additional math credit including College Algebra, Trig, Pre-Cal, or higher 2 Foreign Language credits or 2 Advanced Technology credits or 2 Sign Language credits 1 Fine Arts credit 5 Academic electives based on intended major, special interests, or personal needs GPA of at least a “C” or better **The University System of Maryland strongly encourages students to prepare for college during their senior year by continuing to take a challenging academic program. In a significant number of cases, the senior year curriculum and grades are examined closely during the admissions review process.
