Project Launch 5 Steps to Successful Project Planning Initiation – Authorize the project (previously discussed) Scope Planning – Develop written scope statement that outlines the project. Include impact on entire organization. Scope Definition – Subdivide the major project deliverables into smaller, more manageable components for various stakeholders. Scope Verification – Formal acceptance of the project scope / definition during an initial project plan meeting. Scope Change / Control – Project leader manages each area of launch via scheduled meetings, communicates across all stakeholders and adjusts as necessary.
