Less developed regions: 2.9%

Urban growth rate will continue to be particularly rapid in urban areas of less developed regions, averaging 2.3 per cent per year during

Nearly 40% of the population lives in urban areas, with much of the population living in crowded conditions.
Socio-economic constraints aggravated by recent events in Egypt and neighboring countries.
