2 Where is The Great Florida Reef?
The Florida Reef can be found of the coast off the southern coast off Florida near the Caribbean Sea.

3 Fish in the Florida Reef
The Florida Reef is a habitat to lots of fish these include: The Beaugregory, the Blue Tang, the French Angelfish, the Hogfish and the Midnight parrot fish.

4 The Florida Keys The Florida Keys is six miles away from The Great Florida Reef. The Florida Keys is many islands formed together to make the “Florida Keys”

5 Endangered Animals in the reef
The Florida reef is home to many endangered animals: including, 5 types of sea turtles, the hawksbill, green turtle, Kemp’s Ridley, loggerhead, and leatherback.

6 Coral Facts Coral is made up of very small animals.
Coral is usually found in tropical reefs. Some coral grows in cold water like in Norway and England

7 How long is The Great Florida Reef?
The Florida Reef is 150 miles long and 4 miles wide. It is the third largest barrier reef in the world. It is also home to millions of sea life!

8 Tourists Many tourists come every year to the visit this colourful, reef to do surfing, body boarding and of course snorkelling!

9 Clownfish!!!!!!! Clownfish are small marine fish which became very popular when Finding Nemo was released! There are 28 different types of clownfish, which can all be found in different parts around the world. Clownfish can usually be found in warm water and around coral.

10 More Facts on Clownfish!
Clownfish can live up to 10 years, but their average life is around 6 to 8 years. Female Clownfish lay up to 1000 eggs, then the male clownfish look after them. Clownfish are also know as anemonefish.

11 The Killer Whale Killer Whales can be found all over the world, even some people have spotted them on the Florida Reef. Male Orcas can live up to 17 years, while female Orcas can live up to 29 years old. Then length of an average Killer Whale is 7 metres long!

12 Did you know? That Global warming is affecting The Great Florida Reef, and many other reefs around the world. How Global warming is affecting it is because the water is getting warmer, which is killing all of the coral.

13 Watch Out! A Tiger shark!!!!!!! This a shark looks dangerous!

14 Sharks!!!!!!! The Florida Reef is home to many types of Sharks. Including: Blacktip Shark, Spinner Shark, Blacknose Shark, the Nurse Shark and the Lemon Shark. That’s a lot of scary sharks!

15 This is a Manta Ray! It can be found in the Great Florida Reef!

16 Bottlenose dolphins Bottlenose dolphins are mammals and are commonly found in the Florida Reef. Bottlenose dolphins can stay 10 minutes under water without taking a breath! Bottlenose dolphins can nearly live to the age of forty!

17 The Blue Parrot Fish Facts
The Blue Parrot fish a dark bluey colour of fish, which can be found in the Florida Reef and the north of Caribbean Sea. Their average length is usually beaten 30 to 75 cm. They eat lots of different sorts of coral.

18 Brain Coral Brain Coral is an unusual type of coral, that like it’s name, looks like a brain. Brain Coral can be found in warm-water reefs in many oceans and seas. Brain Coral can also live up to 900 years old! Wow!

19 Humpback Whale Humpback Whales can be found in the Caribbean Sea to all the way to the east of Australia! Humpbacks can live to 30 to 40 years old! Humpbacks eat small fish and shrimp.

20 This is the Reef Shark, it can be found in The Great Florida Reef
This is the Reef Shark, it can be found in The Great Florida Reef. I wouldn’t want to meet him anytime soon!

21 The Blue Tang The Blue Tang is a very popular kind of fish because of its appearance in Finding Nemo and Finding Dory. It can live up to 20 years old. The Blue Tang can be found from New York waters all the way to Brazil.

22 This a Spinner Dolphin. Like the Bottlenose dolphin, it is very common on the Florida Reef. It is so cute!

23 Crabs are pretty common in Florida on the beaches.

24 Look a Green turtle! This turtle is an endangered turtle which can only be found in some coral reefs around the world.

25 This is a Angelfish, they can either be from the freshwater family or the marine family. Angelfish can live up to 10 years old, and lays from 100 to 1000 eggs every season!

26 Blue Coral Blue Coral, as says in the name, is a light blue colour and can be found in many reefs around the world. It eats algae.

27 This is a Frog Fish. It looks a lot like coral
This is a Frog Fish. It looks a lot like coral! It can also swallow fish in 1 whole!

28 This is a loggerhead sea turtle it is very rare to see them.
