Much experience exists on cause, repair, and retrofit of steel bridges with fatigue cracks (or fractures)
Unfortunately the data are not easily accessible
Some “bad” repairs have been introduced due to lack of expertise
Many engineers not familiar with fatigue and fracture causes and retrofits

3. Objective
Develop a user-friendly web-based search tool that archives reports, experiences, case studies, etc. associated with fatigue and fracture in steel bridges
Search by:
Location
Cause of crack
Detail type
Etc.

Target release this spring
Need to refine improve keyword search
Continue to add more case studies and documents
Add section on retrofitting
