2 1.) Bicentennial: A two-hundredth anniversary.
Example: America’s birthday is July 4, So there was a bicentennial celebration in 1976! 2.) Centenary: Pertaining to a 100 year period. Example: My great grandmother celebrated her centenary birthday! 3.) Centigrade: Referring to a thermometer scale of 100 degrees where water freezes at 0 degrees and boils at 100 degrees. Example: In science we learned that water freezes at 0 degrees Centigrade or 32 degrees Fahrenheit.

3 4.) Decathlon: An athletic contest in which each contestant takes part in ten events.
Example: You must be a truly well-rounded athlete in order to compete in all ten events of the decathlon. 5.) Decimate: To destroy a large part of. Example: A large portion of Colorado was decimated during the wildfires! 6.) Quadrant: A quarter of a circle or of its circumference / Any of the four parts of an area divided by perpendicular lines. Example: Our teacher said to divide our paper into quadrants, then number each box 1 through 4.

4 7.) Quartet: A musical composition for four voices or instruments.
Example: A barbershop quartet usually consists of four men who each sing a different part. 8.) Quatrain: A stanza or group of four lines of poetry. Example: Our class was writing a poem dedicated to heroes. Each student is responsible for writing a quatrain to be added to the class poem. 9.) Trilogy: A group of three literary or musical works that have a related theme. Example: Mockingjay is the third book in the Hunger Games trilogy.

5 10.) Trisect: To divide into three parts.
Example: We decided to trisect the pizza into three parts so that we could all have a piece. 11.) Triumvirate: A group of three, especially in authority. Example: The student council triumvirate was made up of the President, Vice President, and Treasurer.

1.) Triplex: a dwelling composed of three units. Example: I live in the center unit of a triplex. 2.) Quadripartite:  1. Consisting of or divided into four parts. 2. Involving four participants. Example: Each member of the quadripartite had their own role in the completion of the project. 3.) Decagram: A metric unit of mass or weight equal to one-tenth / a 10 sided polygon. Example: In geometry, we had to measure all ten sides of the decagram to determine the perimeter.

Centavo: is a Spanish and Portuguese word, derived from the Latin centum, meaning "one hundred” / Currency unit (hundredth of a peso) in Mexico Example: I found a rare centavo coin from the Philippines. 5.) Quadrille: a dance for four couples who each form one side of a square Example: In P.E., we learned a type of square dance called a quadrille.
