In the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Law "Standardization" was adopted in 1992 , which determines the further development of the standardization system in the republic.
As of January 1, more than 4181 enterprises implemented ISO Quality Management System.By 2017, an additional 763 manufacturers are planning to implement ISO standards.
Uzbekistan jointly with the UNDP has launched project by implementation the international system of GlobalGAP standards in Uzbekistan.
Enterprises of food industry and agro-industrial complex of Uzbekistan within the next three years will be able to introduce a special system of food safety control (HACCP - Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) to increase exports of their products to Europe.
