Vocabulary Elaborate – to explain in detail
Gamut – the full or complete range of things Vision – a dream Realization – to make something real Frustration – a feeling arising when hindered in trying to reach a goal Security – feeling safe and certain Discrimination – wrongful treatment of a person or group due to bias or prejudice

Vocabulary Achievement – accomplishing something rewarding
Fanatic – someone excessively devoted to or enthusiastic about a cause Excess – more of something than is necessary Flaunt – to exhibit something a little too proudly Prima donna – an overly vain person Integrity – free from corruption or vice: honesty Humility - a lack of false pride; feeling modest

Vocabulary Intuition – instinctive knowing; a feeling that something might happen Impulsive – actions typified by a lack of planning or preparing Procrastination – putting an assignment or task off until a later time; dawdling Compliant – easily persuaded or swayed; submissive Rational – logical or sensible Interchangeable – being able to change places or replace something else

Your Future is YOURS! Will be exactly what you expect it to be – make it positive Close your eyes Imagine yourself in the career you want to have What kind of setting are you in? What tasks are you performing? Are you working alone or with others? How do you feel about yourself? Open your eyes Tell your partner what you envisioned (longer hair first) Partners turn Write down your vision in the space on page 14 of your workbook Energy MUST MATCH Vision to achieve success!

Why People Work What are some reasons you think a person works?
Page 15 Which do you think is the most accurate? Why do you work? (school, home, or job) What is the motivation behind it? Lets prioritize these on a separate sheet of paper People work for survival People work to define themselves People work to have a sense of security People work for self-respect People work to conquer time People work to measure their self-worth

Everybody Works What type of work do you do right now during your day?
List a few of those things on page 7 What job titles do you think you hold because of this work? At the end of the day, what are your accomplishments? Which ones are most satisfying? How do they make you feel? Do these feelings help you relate the reason people work from before? Which ones?
