2. “Life List” origin story
"One rainy afternoon an inspired 15-year old boy named John Goddard sat down at his kitchen table in Los Angeles and wrote three words at the top of a yellow pad, "My Life List." Under that heading he wrote down 127 goals. Since then he has completed 109 of those goals. These were not simple or easy goals. They included climbing the world's major mountains, exploring from source to mouth the longest rivers of the world, piloting the world's fastest aircraft, running a mile in five minutes and reading the entire Encyclopedia Britannica."

3. What is a “Life List”?
Challenging GOALS that you wish to achieve or experience in your lifetime.
You make a commitment to your goal and make plans so it will actually happen!
Do them while you are young so you can do them and enjoy doing them!

4. Mrs. Mehalek’s Life List
I will visit Scotland.
I will visit England.
I will visit Ireland.
I will ride horseback in the Rockies
I will paraglide off a mountain top
I will fly a jet pack.
I will publish a book.
I will send both children to college.
I will run a 5K.
I will retire by 65.
I will learn to speak some Gaelic.
I will overcome my fear of snakes.

I will ski an Aspen black diamond trail.
I will sit in a penny springs.
I will get married.
I will own a nice house.
I will have children.

Write your own Life List!
It must have 20 + goals
All goals must start with the words “I will”
It must be neat and legible with your name at the top. It may be typed
Spelling counts!
It must be glued onto colored paper.(take one)
Over-achievers may decorate list! (see rubric)
Present your list!
