1. Maastricht – Warsaw my memories 1-6 March 2015

2. Sunday, 1st of March We had to be at school at 13.30
When it was 14.00, we left to Charleroi, the airport in Brussels.
When we arrived, we checked in and got in the plane. We had a great flight! At we arrived in Warsaw. The families were waiting for us, and we went to their homes. 2

3. Monday, 2nd of March
There was a big opening prepared for us. There was a play, two girls sang beautifully for us and there was a dance.
Then we had lunch in the school canteen.
After that, we went to the town centre and had the treasure hunt. We also went to the Old Town, it's really pretty and colourful and so cozy!
When we were finished, we went back to school and then to our homes.
In the evening I went to the shopping mall with Kasia, her sister, niece, and her sister's boyfriend. 3

4. Tuesday, 3rd of March
We had to be in the first lesson of our students. Then we took the bus to the city centre. We went sightseeing. We visited the Royal Castle and a palace, and had lunch in a museum. Then we took the tram to the national football stadium and got a tour.
In the evening we all went to the cinema. The film („Ida”) was in Polish, but luckily there were English subtitles. I really liked the film. 4

5. Wednesday, 4th of March
We had a speech of the mayor of this district of Warsaw, it was very interesting and I learned a lot about this district and about Warsaw.
After the speech we went to the Copernicus Centre. It was a really cool experience. You could touch everything and do lots of things yourself, I had so much fun!
For dinner I had dumplings, a typical Polish dish. It really was delicious.
Then I went to the light show at the Royal Palace, with Kasia, her little sister, aunt, and niece. After the show we went to a cafeteria of the chocolate factory and had chocolate fondue. 5

6. Thursday, 5th of March
Today we didn’t do much. We stayed at school to work on the Wikispaces.
After that, I went with some others to a shopping mall and we ate pizza and shopped. I had a blast!
This was the last day in Warsaw. I wanted to stay longer, because it was such a fun trip! I will defenitely visit Warsaw again in the future.

7. Friday, 6th of March
I got up at 5.15 in the morning (so early!). At 6.30 we left to the airport, but there was a lot of traffic so Nils and I arrived 30 minutes late.
The airplane had to land at another airport in Warsaw because of the fog. After we waited a few hours at the first airport, everyone took busses to the other airport. When we got there, we had to wait for a few hours again.
With a total delay of 6 hours, we finally got into the plane! When we arrived in Brussels we took the taxi to our school.
