12 Veterinary Medicine Event: So You Want to be a Vet...?
Pathways to the Professions provides advice and guidance to school students in all 46 state schools in Edinburgh and the Lothians interested in applying for Medicine, Law or Veterinary Medicine. The programme is aimed at students from S5 onwards in order to help them prepare to make their university application in S6. Students can attend lectures and visits to learn more about the work of their chosen profession, receive help in arranging work experience, meet current students to hear more about the course, receive advice on subject choice and help with their university application. 14 Skill Scotland Event Royal Highland Centre 9 November 2017
This worthwhile event is open to S4, S5 and S6 Students. If you are interested, please sign up at Student Support with £2 towards the cost of the bus. Over 100 exhibitors will be at this event, including Police Scotland, Armed Forces, Digital World, Leonardo and many more. Edinburgh College and Skills Development Scotland will also be there.

16 Memorial Service for Mr Forbes
There will be a short memorial service for Mr Forbes on Friday 27 October at 1245 to plant a rose and put a plaque in the school garden. Please can you let Mrs Watt in the Support for Learning Department know if you would like to attend.
