PSB lock-out test - Organisation AP.Bernardes, D.Hay, C.Mugnier on behalf of the LS2 project Acknowledgements: M.Bernadini, JP.Burnet, J.Coupard, K.Foraz, M.Jimenez, V.Montabonnet, C.Pinto, JP.Tock

2 Outline Introduction Organisation Activities concerned by the PSB test
Conclusion 16 December 2016 LS2 Committee

3 Introduction Presented during LS2 days: 16 December 2016 LS2 Committee

4 Organisation Reference tandem for “PSB tests” (electrical safety only)
 Follow up of “PSB tests” by AP.Bernardes Role Responsibles Reference tandem for “PSB tests” Support: 1 person with an electrical safety inspector profile followed by C.Mugnier David Hay Christophe Mugnier To be defined (selection on collaboration with HSE-SEE) 16 December 2016 LS2 Committee

5 Organisation Mission :
Select 3 cases where electrical safety is critical and where the lock-out process needs to be clarified Define a pilot methodology and apply it on the 3 cases selected Identify the groups concerned, contact them and clarify with them the lock-out steps based on an electrical hazard assessment Write the operational procedures with the groups contribution If the procedure is approved it should be followed on field when applicable, get feed-back from groups Present feed-back of results and process at the LS2 Committee of April 2017 16 December 2016 LS2 Committee

6 Activities concerned by the PSB test
3 cases with 3 different approaches are proposed for the “PSB tests”: Machine oriented approach PSB Period approach Intervention on PS Booster PERIOD 2 (EYETS, YETS, TS, LS2)  Lock-out process, who is concerned, who does what? Work package New Injection Region 1L1 (LS2)  Lock-out process, who is concerned, who does what? Transversal Activity approach PSB Access and electrical state of the machine (EYETS, YETS, TS, LS2)  Electrical hazard mapping, training, habilitation 16 December 2016 LS2 Committee

7 Conclusion The “PSB tests” are proposed to improve the lock-out process The reference tandem is defined The support selection process for the “PSB tests” is on going 3 cases have been identified thanks to D.Hay, C.Mugnier and the groups collaboration “PSB tests” will start in January 2017 Your collaboration and feed-back from field are the key for the success of this test! 16 December 2016 LS2 Committee
