Hawthorn Winter Extravaganza
Saturday, December 17th from 8:30-11:3oa.m. is Hawthorn’s 2nd Annual Winter Extravaganza.
8:30-11:30 –Pancakes served by your favorite Hawthorn staff members.
Grade Levels singing holiday favorites in the gym:
9:00 a.m. 4th/5th grade
9:30 a.m. 2nd/3rd grade
10:00 a.m. K/1st grade
Vendor Rows-Various vendors will be selling items in the k/1 & 4/5 pods.
Kids Mall-2nd/3rd grade pod.
Pictures with Santa in the Media Center.

What Will We Be Doing Next Week?
Communication Arts
This week our theme is Snakes. Our story is called Dear Mr. Winston. Our comprehension skill is to generate questions to draw conclusions about events from the story.
Math
This week, we will continue with our study of factors, multiples and arrays. Students will be making their own multiplication stories this week to put in a class book.
Social Studies
This week, we will conclude our study of Missouri regions, cities, rivers and natural resources with a “Celebration of Knowledge” (Assessment). The MO regions we will be assessing are: Glaciated Till Plains, Osage Plains, Ozark Highlands, Mississippi Lowlands, Alluvial River Plains.
