What lies ahead? The new project "Student scholarships - phase 1" has new goals and priorities in implementation of program "Science and education for smart growth "

What's new in the project?
Two types of scholarships: 1. For academic excellence 2. For special achievements in science, engineering and technical activities, pedagogy, innovation and entrepreneurship, art, culture and sport.

How students use their scholarships?

Total project budget: 26 million BGN
Period of the project: three semesters – Spring semester and full academic year 2016/2017 Partners: All universities in Bulgaria Project team: Employees from Ministry of Education and external experts Project team at universities: Relevant to the position employees and students

List of approved majors at AUBG
1. Scholarships for excellent grades – 120 BGN x 5 months = 600 BGN Department Degree Major Code Students Natural science and mathematics Bachelor Mathematics 5 Computer science Information systems 8 Total: 21 2. Special scholarships – 74 students, all 7 majors at AUBG 200 BGN (max 3 x 200 = 600 BGN)

Students have to make online registration and the system automatically checks the data at Register of all existing students – MES After registration, students can complete their application forms: - Scholarship for excellent grades or Scholarship for special achievements Completed forms with the accompanying documents must be submitted at university, and they confirm student grades and whether they meet the grant for special achievements requirements.

November 28, 2016 End of submission of applications through the website January 15, 2017 Publication of the results on the Internet page of the Project February 8, 2017 Transfer of money from Ministry of Education to University February 24, 2017 Transfer of money from university to students bank accounts February 28, 2017
