1 PROJECT REPORT ON NUMBER SYSTEM
SUBMITTED TO:- MR. ANUJ SRIVASTAV (COMPUTER TRAINER) PRESENTED BY: ANKIT KUMAR YADAV (Computer Instructor) Block- Thakurdwara Dist-Moradabad REGN:- 182

2 DEFINITION OF NUMBER All counting digits are called numbers.
For example- 0,1,2,3...

3 NUMBER LINE - 4 - 3 - 2 - 1 1 2 3 4

4 TYPES OF NUMBER Naturals numbers Whole numbers Even numbers
Odd numbers Prime numbers Rational numbers Irrational numbers

5 1. Natural numbers Those numbers which starts from one and ends to infinity. For example- 1,2,3,4,..

6 2.Whole numbers Those numbers which starts from zero and ends to infinity. For example- 0,1,2,3,.. All naturals numbers are also whole numbers but all whole numbers are not natural numbers. Because whole numbers contains 0 which is not natural number.

7 Even numbers Those numbers which are divisible by 2, are called even numbers. For example- 2,4,6,...

8 Odd numbers Those numbers which are not divisible by 2, are called odd numbers. For example- 1,3,5,..

9 Prime numbers Those numbers which has only two factors, are called Prime numbers. For example- 2,5 are prime number because these numbers have two factors. 5 2 2 1 5 1

10 Rational numbers Those numbers which are in forms of p/q, are called rational numbers.(where q is not equals to 0) For example- 3/4, 5/7 are rational number.

11 Irrational numbers Those numbers which are in the form of square root, are called irrational number. For example- 2

12 Importance of number system
Number system is very useful in our daily life. All calculations are also based on number system. For example , if we want to purchase anything then knowledge of number system is necessary.

13 Correlation of mathematical number system with physics
In physics, mathematical number system play a very Important role. 7 fundamental units- MEASUREMENT SCALE S.I UNIT Length meter time second distance kilometer mass kg temperature ˙c force Newton work Joule
