PROVOX™ 10-Series > DeltaV™ With DIA adapters
FMS-PVXDM-DV-2 PROVOX™ 10-Series > DeltaV™ With DIA adapters Disconnect HE10 flat cables from I / O boards Install the DIAs in place of the old DM cards and reconnect the HE10 flat cables Remove I/O cards Connect the DIAs to the new DeltaV™ system using suitable FIRELEC cables DIAs allow to easily connect PROVOX™ I/Os (Inputs / Outputs) to DeltaV™ cards keeping : The existing I/O wiring Existing I/O terminals * * For discrete output card (DM6462 only), in order to change the old existing relays and to replace them by new removable relays (socket mounting), the PROVOX™ front terminal board has to be replaced. The wiring is simply disconnected from the existing terminals and then reconnected to the new DIA-DO-02 front terminals, without any modification (same terminals and same labels) DM6003 files are kept Terminals and associated wiring are kept in place

FMS-PVXDM-DV-2 Hardware to be removed
(General case) PROVOX™ Highway to be removed Primary PROVOX™ Highway Secondary PROVOX™ Highway PROVOX™ Controller PROVOX™ controller to be removed 10-Series I/O cards to be removed File : DM6003 6 I/O cards 19’’ - 4U Power supply and Communication Cards to be removed Existing front terminal block and associated wiring are kept Process I/Os stay in place in the existing cable trays Process I/Os

Hardware to be removed : DM6462 (DO with electromechanical relays)
FMS-PVXDM-DV-2 Hardware to be removed : DM6462 (DO with electromechanical relays) Primary PROVOX™ Highway Secondary PROVOX™ Highway In the case of a DM6462 card, the relays are directly soldered on the existing PCB of the front terminal block. So the entire assembly (I/O card + terminal block) has to be removed in order to replace all worn components PROVOX™ Controller File : DM6003 6 I/O cards 19’’ - 4U I/O cards and terminal assembly have to be removed Process I/Os stay in place in the existing cable trays Process I/Os

It is installed in place of the old PROVOX™ card + terminal block assembly DM6462. It allows to replace the existing relays by new ones, mounted on sockets, in order to make easier the maintenance. The wiring is simply disconnected from the old terminal block and reconnected at the same place on the DIA-DO-02 terminal block (Existing labels and cable end tips are kept) File : DM6003 6 I/O cards 19’’ - 4U Process I/Os

Advantages FMS-PVXDM-DV-2 The main advantages of the DIA adapters
for PROVOX™ 10-Series migration are as follow : The existing I/O wiring is kept in place (same terminals, same labels and same electrical characteristics). In the case of a DO card with relays (DM6462), the terminal block has to be replaced (in order to suppress all worn components). The existing I/O wiring is simply disconnected from the DM 10-Series PROVOX™ front terminal block and then reconnected to the DIA-DO-02 without any modification of the existing wiring end tips (same labels and same electrical characteristics). The existing loop drawings are slightly affected, allowing a minor and quick update of them. Maintenance procedures are virtually unchanged.
