13. SBA Spring Science CBT Practice Test
For the SBA Spring Science test, users will be able to practice test in two modes:
Kiosk-based (as done before)
Non-kiosk-based (single sign-on/web-based)
Kiosk-Based Practice Testing

Must use the device (e.g., computer, tablet, etc.) that has the iTester kiosk installed

Note: Only the Read Aloud accommodation needs to be documented in an IEP. Read Aloud for CBT is delivered as Text-To-Speech rather than a human reader.

Click Site Setup at the top of the page.
On the Site Setup page, locate the school to be certified, and then click the entry in the Number of Devices Tested column.
Click on the “System Set-Up Test” button to check for bandwidth, connectivity, screen resolution and if text-to-speech works.
Then click on the “Student Interface Test” button to check your device interaction with the online testing system.
Important: It is crucial that the Site Readiness Tests be performed on every device configuration that is to be used for testing. For additional details, please refer to the Kiosk Installation Guide.

The Site Certification section updates with the date and time when the site was certified and user name of the user who certified the site for testing.

Distribute Student Login Tickets for each student assigned to you for testing.
Post the Test Access Code for the test session at the front of the room.
Monitor students to ensure they have logged on successfully and answer any procedural questions.
Speak with your technology coordinator and/or Measured Progress Technical Support ( , option 2) about any technology-related issues that arise.
If a student needs to leave the test room for any reason, be sure an escort is available to accompany the student to and from the test room.

Pausing a Test
During the test session, if a student needs to leave the test room, he or she must click Pause to pause the test.
Once clicked, the Pause timeframe lasts for 20 minutes. If a test is paused for more than minutes, the test administrator must restart the test by entering a Proctor Password at the student’s workstation. This is separate from student credentials on a login ticket.
