Redemption Story (OT) Abraham was asked by God to sacrifice his own son. Abraham travelled for days to a mountain that God has requested where the sacrifice to be occurred. As Abraham prepared himself for the sacrifice he wept. What Abraham did not expect was that God had a completely different plan to put in play. Moments before Abraham drew the knife into his child, an angel appeared and grabbed Abrahams hand before killing Isaac. By a bush, God provided a sacrificial lamb to take the place of Isaac. God redeemed Isaac with this lamb.

He wanted to test Abrahams faith by telling him to kill his only son. When God knew Abraham had faith in him for listening to him, he sent an angel to stop him and a lamb to sacrifice instead.
