As they become independent, graduates and young adults will experience tests of their convictions, integrity, courage and faith. To pass these tests they well need to keep God’s word in their hearts, and live with the understanding that they alone are responsible for themselves before God.

3. Keep God’s Word in Your Heart
The content of your heart will determine the outcome of your life (Proverbs 4:23)
Keep what you’ve learned of God’s word in your heart (Proverbs 3:1, 3; 4:1-4; 1:8-10; Timothy 3:14-15)
Let your parents rejoice! (Proverbs 23:22-25; 3 John 4)

4. Soon, You Will Be on Your Own
Ultimately, we are all on our own – responsible for ourselves before God!
“For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive the things done in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad.” (2 Corinthians 5:10)
