Why Was This Product Chosen ?
This product being a favourable product across many countries worldwide allowed us as a group to choose it fairly easily. However the increasing popularity of the latest release called Doritos Roulette enabled us to choose this product. What is Doritos Roulette ? Doritos Roulette huge success has come from Doritos changing the packets contents. The usual crunchy yet tangy flavour is mixed in with a few spicy crisps to give an exciting lunch, discreetly giving the consumers a challenge. The question being ‘Can they handle the spice?’ The Unique Selling Point The unique selling point of this food product is the distinctive triangular shape of the crisps. The shape allows customers to take handfuls easily while tasting the delicious flavours Doritos provides.

The girl said that she almost died when she tried the new Doritos Roulette.“I love hot food, I love lamb bhunas — but this was the hottest thing I have ever had. An Overview of Doritos History
-Doritos were first made at Casa de Fritos at Disneyland in California in Arch West, the Vice President of Frito-Lay at the time, noticed the popularity of the product. Doritos main consumers are young years of age adults who live 24-7 lifestyle. They are not afraid to try new, exciting things that can offer a bit of a challenge. Doritos’ lovers also enjoy spice, flavors food, therefore they would be brave enough to pick unknown name from a Mexican restaurant menu. They are colourful, funky young who want to contrast from the masses. Fitzroy Amsterdam agency has created an outstanding campaign in order to introduce Doritos’ consumers to the new flavor – Sensational Salsa. Doritos wanted to challenge its fans to capture the essence of its snack in video game form. To do so it unleashed the Unlock Xbox video game contest. The contest offered those with a game concept but no development skills the chance to bring their game to life complete with the opportunity to win a $50,000 gaming consultant project with Doritos.

Product’s Main Competitors
Doritos being a widely successful food product for all ages has numerous competitors. However the main competitors in the food industry are Walkers, Hula Hoops, Pringles and McCoy’s. Walkers are one of the main competitors of Doritos because their vast variety of different flavours and types of crisp. Hula Hoops is for the their distinctive shape.
