independant variable: the part of the experiment that you have control over
dependant variable: the part of the experiment that responds to the independant variable changes

Direct Relationship: both variables are increasing or decreasing
Indirect Relationship: one variable increases and the other decreases
Constant: stays at same value for a variable

Cyclic: repeats in a predictable manner
