9 Dating Violence is… The pattern of abusive behaviors that are used to gain power and control over a current or former dating partner. There are four types of dating violence. Verbal 2. Emotional 3. Physical 

10 Dating Violence 101 Dating abuse is a serious health concern for many students: One in three high school students will be involved in an abusive relationship. Nearly 80% of girls who have been physically abused in their intimate relationships continue to date their abuser. Both girls and boys can be abused by a dating partner and both girls and boys can be abusers.

11 Here are a few warning signs to remember:
What Do I Need to Know? Know the warning signs. There are abusive behaviors that can be early indicators that your relationship is headed in the wrong direction. Here are a few warning signs to remember: Extreme jealousy Constant put downs Telling you what you can and can’t do Financial Control Making you feel guilty Possessiveness or controlling behavior Making false accusations Keeping you from seeing or talking with family and friends Manipulation
