The following tests will constitute as 30% of the student’s final grade Algebra 1 EOC Biology EOC US History EOC Geometry EOC Students must pass the Algebra 1 EOC and FSA ELA as part of their graduation requirements.

What happens after students are identified to test? What is testing like at CCMHS? When will students know how they did? What happens if a student doesn’t pass?

14 ACT and SAT Testing Who? Open to all high school students
Particularly those in Algebra II or higher Highly recommended in junior year (11th) to be prepared for college applications in senior year (12th)

15 WHAT? – Standardized College Readiness Assessments

16 WHEN AND WHERE? ACTs and SATs are held on Saturday mornings
Offered approximately 7 times per school year (September through July) Students can take the exams at local high schools; CCMHS will likely host exams in the future. Recommended that students take each exam at least once, retake the exam the scored higest on

19 HOW? Students can register online at the ACT and SAT websites:
ACT – SAT - Exam Costs: ACT $46 (without Writing) and $62.50 (with Writing) SAT $46 (without Writing) and $60 (with Writing) Utilize free score reports when registering Fee Waivers available for students who qualify for Free or Reduced Lunch Testing accommodations for students who have an IEP or 504 must be requested and approved by ACT and/or SAT

Should I register for the optional essay? When will students get their scores? Which exam is better? What if a student performs poorly? Will colleges see that score? Can I combine my best scores? When do students need exam scores for the Bright Futures Scholarship?
