Vision ‘The best start for every child.’ Purpose – this is more like a mission – purpose is our specific part of the vision.

Mission ‘We deliver life changing support to under 5’s with additional needs & disabilities and their families, by providing specialist learning through play, family support & training, and advice to mainstream settings.’

Our Core Services Activities for Children - Learning Through Play (LTP) sessions for children with additional needs & disabilities, including those with complex medical needs and life limiting conditions. Support for families - listening, signposting, supporting at meetings, opportunities to meet other families, home visits. Education for families - training, stay and play sessions, joint sessions with other professionals, information leaflets. Supporting providers with advice and information. PASS service, visits, information leaflets. Information gathered at staff conference and through one to one staff discussions.

Dingley’s Promise’s Unique Selling Points
One of few independent organisations locally that provides specialist Centres for 0-5’s with additional needs & disabilities where parents can access regular respite. Shared support with other providers means we can enable some children to experience inclusion, we can reach more children and we can support inclusion at other settings (wider impact than inclusive settings). Give opportunities for parents of children with additional needs to have much-needed respite and feel accepted. Ability to include children with complex medical & life limiting conditions who may usually be excluded (training & advice from community nurses) Meaningful partnerships with other providers and professionals (host in centres/ provide advice and support to settings/ successful transitions) General expectation of charities working towards inclusion – CMs say in past more able children have stayed but they want more able to also experience mainstream – shared numbers rising. Not only better for long term goals of child, but helps us to reach more children. (currently 32% of children do this)

Objectives Reach as many children as possible.
Ensure every child transitions to the best educational option for them when they leave Dingley’s Promise. Offer year round provision to take the pressure off parents and give each child as much support as we can. Be active in networking and signposting to ensure all of the child’s needs are met. Ensure parents are always given choices and their voices are heard. Initial thoughts only – will come back to these later

Development Strategy Establish two new Centres.
Expand our other support strategies Expand impact of current learning & play sessions Establish two new Centres. Ensure all families know about the option of shared provision and support their choice. Ensure transition is effective and understood by parents. Offer access to support sessions to families who have left. Develop PASS to ensure settings can effectively work with our children. Develop Family Support Worker roles to link with others and signpost effectively. Develop publications people can access online. Establish open access to group sessions for non-Dingley families

Expected impact by 2020 We will reach 50% of children through LTP sessions, and the other 50% will be reached through our other services. LTP sessions remain core activity to develop and inform our sharing of expertise. We will be one organisation working from 9-5 at our Centres, with LTP sessions being one of the services we provide. We will be delivering sessions in more than one county and providing information to settings across the country. We will be an active signposting organisation working effectively in partnership with other local organisations. Parent choice will be at the core of what we do.
