RIGHTEOUSNESS
“behavior that is morally justifiable or right”
“to live according to accepted standards of morality, justice, virtue, or uprightness”
Old English root word rightwise, which means “in the straight (or right) way.”
Who do you think of as being righteous?

3. RIGHTEOUSNESS
Deut 32:4 “[He is] the Rock! His work is perfect, For all His ways are just; a God of faithfulness and without injustice, Righteous and upright is He.”
Psalm 119:142 “Your righteousness is an everlasting righteousness, And Your law is truth.”
Psalm 145:17 “The LORD is righteous in all His ways and kind in all His deeds.”
Isaiah 5:16 “But the LORD of hosts will be exalted in judgment, And the holy God will show Himself holy in righteousness.”

4. Because of God’s righteousness, if we seek to approach Him
and have a relationship with
Him, we too must be righteous.

5. Righteousness is very much a divine attribute, but it is
also one that we as humans
should strive to develop.
