Section 9A of NDPS Act provides the power to control and regulate chemical substances. Contravention of any provisions attracts punishment of upto 10 years and fine. Under the NDPS Act, “Regulation of Controlled Substances Order” was promulgated in1993 to check the diversion of controlled substances.
